Our planned itinerary for Day 2 was as follow:
- Paju Premium Outlets
- Ewha Woman Fashion Street
- Sinchon shopping area
- Hongdae Shopping
- Samcheong-dong
- Public Bathhouse
- Dinner and Club @ Hongdae
But since we woke up at 1pm, our itinerary got totally messed up! Good mess though cause none of us panicked. Or rather Bec and I already mentally gave up on Paju. I mean I wanted to go Paju cause I wanted to get some MCM stuff but since I realised that MCM is still that expensive while window shopping at DFS, I concluded that MCM is not worthwile. Bec had no intention of buying anything at Paju so it was okay for both of us to miss Paju. The crux lies with Yvon as she seemed pretty keen to visit Paju. Now that we woke up at 1pm (after a night of ecstasy), Yvon gave up on Paju as well. Haha.
So we started preparing for Day 2 and it took us another 2 hours to get out of the hotel again. We really take our own sweet time hor~
Red OOTD. I wanted to match the topwith jeans but somehow it didn't work out as nicely as I want. Everything still turn out fine though. We look nowhere like twins or triplets right.
Our standard OOTD pictures, one at the hotel lobby and one at subway mirror. So nice, right?
So we made some adjustments to our itinerary and headed straight for Samcheong-dong.
Cool weather + pretty streets + autumn leaves + eye canides = perfection! Took tons of pictures along this pretty street and that of course drag us even further behind into our VERY delayed schedule.
I think this is some map of Samcheong-dong and they have some pretty cute guys acting as guides on bicycles as well. :) If we were in SG, we have only the uncles riding the trishaws. Nothing against the SG uncles but who don't love cute guys right?
Terribly late but we still took our own sweet time to stroll the streets.
Lots of modern cafes and cuisines.
And some traditional korean restaurants but these only open at 5pm.
The whole place is so fusion, modern cafes with korean restaurants and artsy displays.
Of course, Yvon bought one of these to share with us again. Though we were really hungry, we didn't eat this immediately. Keep until dunno when sia.
Finally settled ourselves at some cafe.
By right, we should be sitting inside the cafe to enjoy the whole ambiance right? For some unknown reason, we chose to go al fresco in this cool wintery weather. We must have all gone mad and to think we were there for like 2 hours!
Time was so tight and yet we still spent 2 hours chatting. The most unusual thing is that Yvon started sharing her story. The first thought that came to my mind is 'Huh? Got time to share such lengthy story meh?' Haha. But it was a good story though!
Finally, Bec did a time check and 'chased' us after 2 hours.
Time was tight but we still strolled.
Pretty nice art stuff but we were too late to take a closer look.
Took quite a bit of pictures of and with the traditional houses. And the 'getting old but ji siao and very chio' ladies even contemplated to play a prank on these househholds. Haha. I mean we were like (seriously) discussing to press the door bell and run off. I bet this happened before. No wonder they put a time restriction on tourists. I am sure noise is a factor but confirm got ji siao people (like us) and NO, we did not do any nuisance act.
We headed for Ewha and Sinchon after Samcheong-dong. It was a very brief stay as we were terribly late. Despite the short stay, we still did a little shopping. Ladies power! I had no intention to buy any footwear but I bought a pair of heels! Totally regret it in that instant. The heels is nice but I have no more room for additional footwear!
Anyway, we settled our dinner for some fried chicken and beer at some random place. Yummy chicken. I like the way they cut the chicken parts. It made eating so easy. I mean we usually need 2 hands when we eat fried chicken right? But we easily settled these chicken with just 2 fingers. Made eating so easy and tidy.
We continued with a little more walk around before heading back to the hotel. So once again, we removed make-up, showered and re-applied make-up again for NB @ Hongdae.
After Ellui on day 1, we thought we knew what to expect @ NB. Bec already informed us the crowd will be younger but we didn't know it will be so far off from Ellui and our expectation. Number ONE big difference is the location. Ellui can be compared to our Zouk, big, impressive, hip and crowded with the good looking people. NB is small and located at the basement of some shopping centre. While we were queuing for NB, we can tell that their crowd is very young. For a moment, we hesitated and wondered if we should go in. Then we were like 'Aiyah, come all the way here liao, let's just go in and see'. So we proceeded and of course, regretted it immediately. The entrance is 5,000 won more expensive!!! It is only like SGD7 but it is not even worth that SGD7. Next, there is no locker room or locker. You just have to put your coats into some big recyclable bag. Eew. The whole club is very small with a even smaller dance floor. The dance floor reminds me of a boxing ring. The worst thing is the toilet!!! It is so dark and dirty that it looks like some sleazy toilet where drug addicts gather. Wergh. So we decided to just redeem our free drink and make a move.
Our next discussion was to make a move for Ellui or Octagon. Since it was already pretty late and we were unsure of the crowd @ Octagon, we decided to return back to Ellui. I mean it is late and we had a bad start @ NB so we didn't want to ruin it further by going to another uncertain place.
We can only be GLAD that we made the most RIGHT choice in our lives. Very kua zhang right??? But that was how we felt we returned back to Ellui!!! We became SUPERB high again the minute we stepped in. Ellui just had this ecstasy feeling. I was even joking with Bec that they prob injected helium into the club. Haha.
Anyway, Ellui was already very crowded on Friday and twice the crowd on Saturday with a lot of more chio (and zhng) korean ladies. So we proceeded for our tequila shots and Bec's sprite before hitting the crowded dance floor. So once again, we had a good time there. My happiest moment @ Ellui!!!
Even though we missed out a lot of places on our itinerary, I was hoping that I could extend my stay by another weekend. :(
