NYGH Homecoming 2014

NYGH Homecoming 2014.

I am glad that Wenmei jio-ed me otherwise I wouldn't even know about it. Haha. That is how detached I am from the school circle. It falls on a Saturday and the best thing was I didn't have class on that Saturday! Happy!

So Wenmei and I agreed to meet at 10ish am. As usual, I was late but I was glad to catch Yukai before she leaves.

The new building which we spent 4 years fund raising but never spend a single moment in it. So familiar and yet foreign.

The homecoming does bring back fond memories. We had our first and only funfair when we were in secondary 1 or 2. Each class had to sell something. You can selling food or drinks or handicrafts or games or haunted house. I remembered we sold ice kacang. Awesome fun but the most tiring thing was our ice kachang machine was a manual one. We all developed muscles after a day of selling ice kachang. :)

Homecoming 2014 is pretty similar concept with each class still selling something. They had an expo (held in the air con hall) where they invited vendors to sell their products. So there were some girls-turned-entrepreneurs who were invited as well. :)

BUT!!! To gain entry into the expo, you need to pay $10/15 entrance fee and this doesn't come with any vouchers or whatsoever. Just purely entrance fee. Wah lau eh... Con sia. We didn't pay la. I mean we were there cause we were sentimental as we are old girls. To pay $10/15 to gain entrance into an expo hall selling stuff where I can just buy anywhere?!?!?!?! What sense does that make?

Obviously a lot of people paid cause they had a photo booth inside whereby you can rent the old uniform for photo-taking sake. Wah Lau. Sibei con.

So we walked around with the kids not too interested in anything before we spotted our 'coffin'. How can we not take a photo with our dearest 'coffin', probably the only thing from the old campus.

Then we got separated after the kids had their ice cream treat. Spent the next 45 minutes queuing under the hot sun for some games. Lazy to upload any more pictures. Summary - there is a tiny pool with like 5 giant balls so the kids can climb into one ball each. Then they will spend the next 15 minutes being a hamster in the ball in the pool. I tell you ah.... is super hot in the ball one lah.

After the 15 minutes, Val told me 'Mummy, next time don't go funfair le. Very hot.' Haha. Yah loh. We will not go to another funfair in SG le.
