Val turned ONE on Saturday!!! We had 2 rounds of celebrations with our friends invited to Aunty Esther's place on Sat and a mini celebration at Ah Gong's place. Val is so so so blessed and I am also so so so blessed to have her as my little darling. Love~

She woke up hearing everyone singing "Happy Birthday' to her. She must be wondering why are all of them singing the same song the minute they woke up. Anyway, she woke up as a super duper happy baby! She must have known it is HER SPECIAL DAY!

We didn't buy her any special birthday outfit cause we doubt she will want to wear any of those princess dresses. Our original intention was to let her be in any of her old comfy wear. Yet... It was still such a task just to decide which old clothes to wear.

Mum and Char mixed and matched at the very last minute and came up with the above combi. Keke. Char bought the brown top home on Fri night from her Msia church camp trip. The headband was made from some scrap book ribbon with a stretchy band sewn at the very last minute. So they matched the entire outfit with a relative white tights bought from BKK (by my Dad) and the new sneakers!!!

We are so nua that we did not bother to decorate the place. Luckily Char took the effort to buy the balloons and some streamers.

We didn't want an extravanga cake so we go for the simple and practical one. Anyway, most people are full after the bbq and buffet dinner.

Val is so so so blessed. Putting the ang pows aside, she has lots of clothes and tons of toys, inclusive of a keyboard which I think Char will be the one using it till Val is much much much older.

Yes yes... Such a coincidence. Xiao gugu bought the exact disney car. We have 2 now!!!

Val took a bit of time to warm up in Ah Gong's house. Partly, there were too many people and they were talking a bit too loud.

By time she warmed up, she started walking around in the dining area and managed to learn one new skill - climbing up and down the stairs. She learnt it within 10 minutes. Ge smart loh.

I so love her. Yes, I repeated this super duper many times but I really do. She is such an eye candy. I just want to look at her, hug her, smell her and kiss her everyday though she really hates it when I force myself upon her. Haha. I love my Darl Darl for everything in my life, from going through the difficult moments in my life, enduring my difficult moments (haha), giving me solid advices (and he is right most of the times), giving me such a perfect girl and the most wonderful family. Yes, the NG family are really nice people. :)

I remembered I told the others that my child will be indepedent and self-sufficient. Yes, she definitely is a survivor. Putting aside that she started walking at only 11 months, she understands all our instructions. She learnt to climb up and down the stairs in 10 minutes and she knows how to climb up and down the stairs without any adult supervision. She knows how to climb down the bed by herself, how to close and open doors without hurting herself. Lastly, she proved to me she has her own mind by ignoring Darl's repeated instruction to delay her naptime by getting her pacifier and bolster on her own and fell into deep sleep immediately in my hug in the car.

Am I over-praising her? Nope. All these are not made possible by the so-called good genes from Darl and me. She is so pretty, beautiful, smart etc etc etc cause she is the beloved child of GOD and by our dear Lord's blessing, she is the perfect creation. Amen~
