Poor Enxi was down with a bad bout of cold over the weekend. Usually, she is a super strong girl but I think this virus was so 'evil' that she succumbed to it. Probably, she caught it from the complications of Charlene but it doesn't matter as long as she is on the road to recovery.

The flu was so bad that she could hardly breathe properly when sucking onto her pacifier while sleeping. I could hear her cries in the midst of night. We are so blessed to have my MIL to take care of her so that we can enjoy a good night sleep. Keke.

Anyway... Each time, this girl sneezed... 2 long strands of mucus will follow the sneeze so her 'forever-up-to-no-good' Daddy tried to capture this sooooooooooooo unglamorous side of her on cammy. Don't see her so young ah... She does know the true definition of being vain k. Daddy was not successful in his attempt at all cause this little vainpot literally ran away from the camera.

This was Daddy's first attempt. Enxi was standing peacefully beside me enjoying her breakfast when Daddy took out the camera. She ran away immediately!!! Yes! RAN! If you were present at that moment, you would see her running away from the camera and holding onto my T-shirt seeking refuge. She was holding onto me, begging me to bring her away from the camera.

Daddy's second attempt. She turned her head away from the camera immediately. Daddy tried a couple of times but he was never successful so he gave up.

Keke. She is definitely as vain as Mummy cause she loves to comb her hair!!!

So I basically spent the entire weekend at home accompanying Enxi. We did have the intention to catch a movie but there wasn't any good movie around so we ended up nuaing at home. It has been a long time since we go on a date. Whenever I mentioned this, Darl will keep telling/ reminding me that it hasn't been that long. True to a certain extent but I will very much like it to be on a weekly basis. Not necessary to be a long shopping trip. I am not a shopaholic to start off with. I do not mind a quick dinner or a quick window shopping. I just want some time for the both of us.

I am not complaining about the presence of Enxi but I just like the feeling of spending some quiet time with Darl. We do spend a lot of time together as a family of 3 but spending time as a couple is different. I do not know how to pen down these thoughts but I love dating once a week. I do not want the dating days to come to an end so soon. Of course, I do understand that Darl is super busy for these 2 months so I shall wait patiently. :)

Anyway, we attend Xueli's wedding dinner 2 Fridays ago at Amara Sanctuary Sentosa. Since I was not driving, I hitched a ride from JB. As wedding dinners never start on time, we hanged around Vivo for a while before making our way towards the venue.

To speak the truth, I would say the location is kinda inconvenient for guests like me. No doubt there are shuttle services, it is still troublesome to take the shuttle lah. Anyway, we didn't had a too happy experience with the services. Do not get me wrong. The wedding and couple is fine. It is the services of the banquet staff. We requested and waited so long for our red wine and beer and the staff could not seem to remember our orders too. Also, they do not top up our drinks (tea/ soft drink) even though our glass was completely empty unless upon request. I guess the trigger point came at the dish of shark fins. The waitress served each of us half a bowl of shark fins and took the remaining away without even asking!!! So when poor JB wanted another bowl, he realised it was way too late. Keke. It got JB so pissed that he complained to the in-charge (I think) and wrote on the feedback form. I wonder if it helps in any way. Not that we are picky but such standard from so-called reputable hotel, I guess it is really unacceptable.

Putting that aside, I had a good time myself. It has been long time since I last hear so much rubbish from JB. I see the old JB again. :) Though I do pity Ji for being the butt of the joke for the night. Let's do another session soon! Be it MJ or at Enxi's bday. Jess.... Do something!
