I wonder... I wonder what do Singaporeans do for their weekends? Do they nua/ sleep in for the entire weekend or do they spend their the 2 days shopping in town followed with dinner and coffee? I really wonder... Though I do look forward to weekends for some brief break from work, I have no idea what to do over the weekends. We had our periodic activities... We had our share of poker/ mahjong, pool, board games, movies, chill-out and dinners and even JB. I wonder what should be next.
.
Anyway, with half of them who made a last minute short trip to Genting and the other half nua-ing somewhere, Darl and I cruised around aimlessly. We first stopped over at Downtown East. I had been there during the June Hols with the kids but Darl had yet to step in since the revamp. Anyway, we both find it a pretty decent revamp with a lot of new eateries. Chalet seems like a more fun and convenient thing with the new mall embracing the numerous different eateries, NTUC and other entertainments. Then we cruised around for a while before deciding to park at Suntec.
.
We had our longest walk since ages. We actually walked from Suntec all the way to Raffles City just for dinner. Having absolutely no idea for dinner, we walked around searching for inspirations. Anyway, we passed by this new Japanese dessert stall (Marvelous Cream) at CityLink. (I presume it is new as it is my first time seeing it. Haha. Of course, it is not accurate cause I haven't been to that area for ages) I am never a dessert person but the desserts look really appetising and we were tempted to try it before dinner. Well... The logical us told us to leave desserts after dinner BUT by time we returned from dinner, the queue was sooooo long that we gave up~ Never mind~ We will try it the next time.
.
We stopped over at Raffles City basement. To our amazement (I think we are sua gu), the place is completely different with the new extension with a lot more shops and eateries. In the end, we settled our dinner at Aerin. We ordered their must-try fish and chips and pasta. Personally, I do quite like their fish and chips and pasta. Usually, I try to abstain from fish and chips because most fish and chips are really starchy and they make me sick of it halfway through the course of dinner and most of the times, i end up finishing the tasteless fish meat only. However, Aerin's fish and chips is really nice. It is nowhere starchy and the fish meat is really nice especially with the nice sauce (which I do not know what it is). The cream pasta is definitely a must-try too! (except that I am no big fan of smoked salmon) I am definitely going to make a 2nd or 3rd trip back to Aerin. The night-out ended with us da-baoing some desserts from Bakerzin.

Finally... I managed to catch this show. Been wanting to watch it since it was out in June. I just love Adam Sandler. He is just so cute and funny. Yet... I was glad I didn't manage to catch the show back then. What can I say about the show? It is super LAME loh. So lame that I can hardly take it. Haha. Unless you are one who is really okay with super duper senseless and tasteless lame stuff and really looking for just a laugh, this is not a show for just anyone.
