Some misc updates before I go into my agenda for this particular post...
.
- The trial make-up was all right. Felt kinda weird at first because I haven't apply for a long time and in fact I have never apply anything to my eyes so it definitely took me quite some time before I got used to it. Anyway, I fell in love with the fakey eyelashes today and all the eye make-up.
.
- We didn't manage to do the personality test because the other couple (the guy only) who was in the same class as us was terrible late for the class. As a result, we have to postpone to this week. Hmm... We might not even get to do it this week because Darl might not be able to make it back in time from his one-day mission.
.
- I managed to get my wedding shoes yesterday!!! Just within half an hour of shopping!!! And it was the last pair. I was contemplating to buy it when we are on the way back but Darl suggested to buy it first... just in case no more stock. I was thinking to myself... Why would it be out of stock? Who will buy such shoes to wear except got occasion's one? Luckily, I took his advice!!!
.
- I had no intention of doing mani or pedi for the photoshoot until the bridal people told me to. I was still pretty insistent on my own decision when we decided to just pop by the mani place and try our luck. Since they have a slot, I decided to pamper myself. I am so glad I did it!!! And I am even more glad that the lady did a terrific job to make it glam with glitters and just right for a wedding. Haha. And the photographer did zoomed in on my nails with the ring lah!!! I have pretty nails!!!
.
Now now now... Let's get into the main topic. Let's term this as 'Photoshoot 1'. We didn't manage to get our outdoor shoot done today due to bad weather. So we will be having our 'Photoshoot 2' next Tuesday. It is a blessing in disguise as Darl dirtied my outdoor gown just when I stepped out of the car. He got a nasty cut on his finger and unknowingly, he offered to hold onto my gown for me. By the time we discovered the nasty cut, I had a blood-stained gown. Though we managed to wash it off, the rain forced us to make our way back. It was a timely rain as I was feeling tired already. No more mood or energy to force any more smiles.
.
Anyway, I love the indoor shoots and everything. I had 5 sets of clothings. My make-up cum hair stylist was terrific. She did such a fabulous job that I have no complaints of nearly all my different images.
.
First, we had the Japanese costume.
.
This was the look. Nothing too fanciful and yet, pleasing enough to the eyes.
.
Us in Jap costume. Anyway, this is our actual height difference and I had to stand on 2 phone books loh (when barefooted).
.
Then we had the more Chinese clothings. Cheongsam with Chinese collar. This is so much nicer than the kua. I am wearing heels already but I guessed it was still not tall enough because my photographer (Kit) asked me 'You wearing shoes already?'
.
My friendly and super-pro make-up and hair stylist (Sally).
.
She is doing a super European classy cap thingy with feathers to go with my alternative wedding gown. She mentioned I was her guinea pig for that style and it turned out to be pretty nice. But we forgot to take a picture of it.
.
In normal veil. We took a lot of photos for this and this was the one that tire me out.
.
Then we had the evening gown with a dolly hairstyle but since we were rushing for time by then, we didn't manage to take any picture of it too.
.
Then Sally offered to cut my fringe for me to match my bubbly/ sporty outdoor gown. I agreed. Only after the first snip, then she told me 'I am a make-up artist, not hairstylist'. *faint* Anyway, she chopped my fringe loh!!! I am super not used to it. But everyone else said it is cute, including those staff over at the bridal place, Darl and even my dad. My bro protested against it though.
The end result... I am so not used to it loh. Whatever you saw was my natural hair. No wig. Stop asking me to remove my wig. Stupid Darl and Kit thought I put on a wig and asked if I want to remove it before going home. Anyway, I just washed my hair and blow dry it. It looks just like sha gua tou without the curve.
.
Overall... I am very satisfied with the end result. I am a happy customer!!! I have a great make-up artist and a great photographer. I specifically asked for Kit because almost every other customer strongly recommended him and I am very assured that the phtos would turn out to be fantastic though he had a hard time with us. I was crowned 'Blinking Queen' and Darl had sleepy eyes. When he felt that the feel was right, either I would blink or Darl would smile awkwardly. NG 1. Retake. Then I would look too fierce without smile. And yet, he want me to look 'diao' without a smile and yet, not look fierce. I simply could not do it. He noticed it and told me 'Did anyone told you you look very fierce without smile? Oki... Now don't smile and give me a gentle look. I don't owe you money.' NG 2. Retake again... Darl appeared to have double chin. NG 3. Haha. I think we are so not used to it that he asked us many times 'Did you all just know each other last night?'. NG 4. We laughed too widely. Haha. Yet we had fun!!! It was not as tiring as I thought it would be. Kit was very pro and he finished everything very fast. He got us into the right postures and everything quickly minus the blinks and double chin lah.
.
I trust that I would have a beautiful album though he asked me if I want to appear fatter and I told him 'No'. He complained that I was too thin. Well... If the fatter people turn out to be pretty in their wedding album, I can't be too far off right? Keke. Moreover, I believe I had a good mix of clothings and images. I had Jap, Chinese, Slight European Cocktail Classy, Normal Wedding, Dolly 'diao' Evening and a Sporty/ Bubbly Outdoor. Anyway, I had a fun time and I am definitely looking forward to Tuesday.
