Friday - 130707

Friday is usually a OTOT night for both Darl Darl and I. It was a rare Friday whereby his mahjong session didn't start that early and I wasn't keen to meet any of my friends on that Friday. Darl was nice enough to bring me to Central for a Japanese treat. It was a queueing Friday. Every restaurant was full house and we were on the waiting list for 2 Japanese restaurants. In the end, Sun and Moon was cleared first.

The last time I went there was with the CS group. I last remembered the food was fantastic and I still regretted not taking any pictures. This time round, I do not exactly think was any fantastic at all. Anyway, since we are there, might was well take pictures.

Cold Sakae. I do not exactly fancy the taste. Anyway, it was a very interesting conical flask with a pocket for ice cubes.

Salmon Sashimi!

Soft shell crab + avocado maki. A bit tasteless and cold~

Slightly spicy scallops. The scallops are fresh and the sauce is extremely nice!!! I like this the most!

Salmon spaghetti. Not too bad except for the fish roe which I hate to the core! I hate the smell. I gave all to Darl Darl who fancy it.

Darl Darl ordered this beef rice thingy as his main set (was it beef? cannot remember le). This rice set is very interesting. When they first served it, it was covered with the wooden cover. You are not to open it until 1 minute later. It even comes with the timer thingy so that you kow exactly when is 1 minute. Darl Darl was anxious for his dinner and shaked the timer furiously so as to speed up that 1 minute. -_-'''

Saturday - 140707

Wasn't that keen on Harry Potter anymore but since we were unable to get any tickets for 'Die Hard 4', we settled for Harry Potter. A 2.5 hours show and I spent half of the time wishing time would pass a little bit faster. Actions were far and few, probably only towards the 10 minutes when Sirius and the rest appeared to help Harry Potter and kids. The entire show focused only on Harry's dreams. No justice was done to the rest of the acting crew. Their appearances on the screen were more of a backdrop to Harry's with very few, unexcited, unsubstantial lines. Overall, I would say it is a GREAT disapppointment.

Friday - 060707

A super long Friday... Work didn't end at usual timing. With an external partner's preview ending at only 10pm, it was a OT Friday for both Bec and me. We decided to pamper ourselves a little with a massage before heading to Amara for dinner and drinks.

We were slightly early. With a camera in hand, we amused ourselves in that little interval. Look at Bec! Her post-massage symptoms are all written over her face.
The pictures went hay-wire with Bec's suggestion of 1,2,3,4,5... 1 & 2... Pardon the blurness... Bec has shaky hands.

The preview ended at about 11pm and I was off to meet Jack Shen for a movie together with his friend, OBS. He bought some chocolates for me but by time I reached home, the chocolates melted. Eew.

We headed over to Vivo for the movie. First time watching a movie at Vivo! Was pretty exicited about it but to our dismay, the seats are pretty uncomfortable. Yes... There is plenty of leg room but the seats are super upright. No slight degree of recline at all! Imagine sitting upright throughout the whole movie. We felt "sick" after that.

Saturday - 070707

Woke up at only 4pm as I slept at 6.30am! Got home at 4 plus and watched Darl and guys play mahjong. Sleepy~ By time I woke up, Dennis had already sms-ed me twice, called me once and combed Lot 1 without me. Not to forget Joanne's call. Was invited to Joanne's daughter (Krystal) birthday 'party'. Poor Dennis waited for me for at least 3 hours (?). Lucki;y, he had YY to accompany him.

By time me and Darl reached Joanne's place, Dennis and YY already finished their dinner. We had a good time sitting at the corridor chatting with Joanne. Then we decided it was picture time! Well... Though it was Krystal's birthday 'party', we didn't manage to catch a glimpse of her as she was napping. We didn't manage to take a picture of her nor stayed long enough for the cake cutting session. Hmm.. Told Joanne we wanted to take pictures, she went to take her camera. But by time we were done and left the place, she has yet to return with the camera.

Stupid Darl was grumbling throughout the whole journey that he was 'forced' to accompany me. You can don't come and can stay in the car one loh. Anyway, he was relunctant in taking the pictures. See! He was pinching my ears loh!!!

But of course... He didn't quite survive the journey back.

Half a Saturday - 300607

We woke up at only 3pm as it was another mahjong night for the guys. I only managed to stay awake till 6am while the guys continued till 8am. We had many plans initially. We planned to go swimming. However, since it was already 3pm, we dropped the idea. Darl suggested kite flying. With that, we went over to the field opposite with my spidey kite.

It wasn't a successful kite flying experience. First, we fixed the kite the wrong way and Darl commented that the design of the kite sucks. After numerous failed attempts, I decided to read the instructions, then we realised our silly mistake. However, it was a super non-windy and warm afternoon. Each 'successful' attempt only lasted 5 minutes. We decided to give up as we were already tired and sweating after all the running.

Hair Fun @ JB - 240607

Another Sunday without any particular agenda. Was going to prepapre for Church but since Roger jio-ed JB, I decided on JB instead. Initially, I thought it was going to be another JB 'feast day'. Only when I boarded the car, I realised Roger was going for rebonding treatment. Since we were all going to wait for Roger, I decided on hair treatment while Darl was convinced by Roger to try straightening treatment for his QQ hair. We had a good time convincing Lincoln to do straightening treatment for his even more Q hair. keke.

After hair treatment, it was already 9pm and we headed for our usual seafood feast. We tried out a new place this time (as recommended by Roger). Only 4 of us and yet we ordered 9 dishes!!! F.U.L.L and cheap. Only RM180! Satisfying~

The Usual NUA Saturday - 160607

As Darl played 5 rounds of mahjong on Friday night till 7am, we slept till 3pm before we began our usual nua weekend routine. After enough nuaing at home, we decided to head out for dinner with the rest. Dunno where the rest went to for the evening, we ended up with the Lincoln.

While waiting for Lincoln, we decided to take some photos as he needs ANOTHER 10 minutes. I really don't understand why he takes so long when he doesn't dress up nor gel his hair loh.

We were planning for a nice Jap dinner but due to Lincoln's "good suggestion", we ended up with too little time for anything else except foodcourt. Even the queue at the foodcourt was so long!!! In the end, we had only 15 minutes to gobble our food before movie.

Fantastic 4: The Rise of The Silver Surfer

Hmm... I didn't quite think the movie was nice. Since the subtitle was 'The Rise of The Silver Surfer', I seriously thought the focus would be on the Silver Surfer. In the end, the Silver Surfer only spend his time surfing around, "swallowed" a missle and "siam-ed" another 2 before he "saved" the world. The focus is more on Reeds Richard and Susan Storm and their marriage loh. Well, if you are expecting any spectacular stunts from the Silver Surfer, you will be disappointed. Overall, it is still a okay-to-watch movie.

Darl's trip to USA & Japan

Darl went USA and Japan for 2 weeks. He came back with the below for me. That is a lot of stuff loh...

BF: don't have. they only have spiderman, pokemon etc etc... all not nice one.
GF: orh...

Darl's colleague met us in town shortly after their landing to get some of his stuff back from Darl as some of his stuff were in Darl's luggage.

GF (open the luggage and saw hello kitty's kite): darl, you say don't have hello kitty one? this one is hello kitty one leh!!!
BF: this one not mine. my colleague one.
GF: but you say don't have hello kitty.
BF: i don't know.
GF: ???

Darl bought GAP slippers for me too. forgot to take a picture of it.

Though some of the stuff very 'wu li tou', it was still very sweet of Darl to buy so many stuff. He is still ji siao when buying stuff from overseas.
