1st day @ work

Woke up at 6.30am. Showered, applied make-up, rushed back to Sembawang for my cert before driving slowly to work. Yup. I drove slowly on the 2nd/ 3rd lane. Am not familiar with the road so I would rather play safe by driving slow than missing a turn. Traffic was pretty smooth on the expressway till I exited from it. I was caught in the slow traffic for like 15-20 minutes when I was just that close to the office. I wasn't late. I was super on time. Haha.

Started the day with an orientation of the company and the department. Extensive networks but still manageable. Worse comes to worse, just refer to organisational chart loh. Keke. Followed by an orientation on my job scope, goals, KPIs, roles, updates, processes etc etc. Looking back at the notes, there is really anything too difficult to understand yet, I was having a headache during the session. I guess I had not listened to anyone talk to me so intensively for a long time.

Then it was lunch. Phew~ The fellow colleagues jio-ed me to join them for lunch at a nearby coffee shop. Keke. I was nervous about work cause I am worried about lunch. What if no one jio me for lunch? Then where can I eat at such a ulu place? Impossible for me to drive out and lunch on my own right? Anyway, this worry will resume again on Tuesday till I build the rapport with them. Lunch was cheap!!! Wanton mee for $2.50! I think I haven't had such cheap noodles for a long time. Haha. I just found out that catered lunch cost only $2.50 too!!!

It was half day today and the entire company went for bowling after lunch. I didn't bowl and I didn't really talk much. I am always passive unless it is for work purposes. It is a big company and not everyone know everyone so majority just end up bowling with their own department colleagues. :)

Overview:
- They are generally nice people.
- Different departments have distinct characteristics and mannerism.
- Everything is done via Intranet and I felt like a total idiot. I guess it is time to stop being so not tech-savvy.
- Lunch is cheap! I only spent $2.50 on lunch and $1.60 on parking for the bowling.

Things to do:
- Clean up my desk on Tuesday.
- Maybe to consider getting a smaller laptop bag.
- Bring a mug. For what, I do not know but the desk just looks weird without a mug. Haha. I am using water bottle.
