We used to have monthly outings but we got sick of it. Everyone is on tight budget right. So having a monthly outing is not friendly to our pockets. Sooner or later, you get sick of the few seal activities like eating, drinking, ktv etc. When you organize sporty activities, there are people who will complain of not being athletics, hot, sweaty, sunny etc. When your planned activity requires some more spending, then the money issue is really an issue. Or when your activity is so unique that no common mass can appreciate as well as you, it is another headache as well. So we stopped the monthly outing and changed it into a quarterly or isit a half yearly activity. Anyway, the idea is to allow our pockets to rest and accumulate enough dollars for the next activity and that we can afford to do something more exciting or even overseas. So we went for our first overseas trip!
All of us (minus Carol who had something on like last minute and Desmond who fell sick) went for a 2D1N Bintan trip! I think we arrived pretty early at the terminal pretty early as we wanted to shop at DFS for alcohol but Cat was like super late and all of us ended up clearing the custom super late as well. We only had 10 minutes to grab the alcohol. Since each of us can buy one item (I think), we maximize our quota. We bought moscato, red wine, gin, tequila, johnny walker and tons of beers. It's only 2D1N right and we bought even more beer in Bintan.
Tons of people went over to Bintan that weekend. To avoid the queue, they have an express queue. All you need to do is to assign one representative to hold on to your passports while the rest of us strided into Bintan without any form of checks. Your representative will walk over to the express counter to get your passports stamped. Of course, this express queue comes at a price of $4 per person. We paid anyway.
We rented 2 villas, 1 for the men and 1 for the ladies. We took a short before grabbing expensive food in the hotel restaurant. We wanted to do real exciting activities but it was all SO expensive. We ended up doing only ATV and that cost $120 per bike for an hour. Anyway, 2 of us shared one bike. Too tiring to ride alone for an hour on that uneven terrain. GREAT FUN accompanied with a lot of stalled engines, mount kerbs and stones and DUST AND DIRT. All pictures with YY who has no intention to ever send it to us. We 'cleaned' ourselves with a swim and gey kiang attempted to play water polo. We gave up in 5 minutes. Sibeh shag.
After shower, we went to the Kelong restaurant for dinner. And the night continued with DRINKSSSSS.
Selfie is the in thing right. So we decided to take a selfie every hour to see how we are affected by alcohol. I didn't manage to get all the selfies. Hourly selfie was a great idea, wasn't it? But the best part is we totally forget whose handphone we used to take the selfie. So that accounts for some of the missing pictures.
Susan who has a way to make people drink and you won't feel du lan with her.
Claris who drank a bit too much and started a private conversation with Teck Chuan for an hour and not forgetting to 'gan' us when we interrupt. And of course, the woman went mad enough to carry me and spin me around. Haha.
2am liao.
One of the last few pictures before Susan accidentally poured tequila over my head. I have to wash my hair again. -_-
Look at Claris. Haha.
Day 2 - woke up, went for a short stroll, had instant noodle and lunch at hotel restaurant before we take the ferry back to SG. I was so tired that I slept throughout the ferry ride.
Tired die me ah.
