CNY 2014

As Hong's GM passed away last June, his paternal side is not celebrating CNY. Grandfather suggested that the whole family to go away on a vacation. I wasn't really keen initially but since Hong is, ok~

All of them are very excited about this HK trip. We planned for a 8 days trip, spending 5 days in HK and 3 days in ZH. Been to HK numerous times but we were always obsessed and engrossed with shopping. Since we are travelling with the girls and family, we decide it is time for us to sight see HK.

Landed and checked into East Hotel around evening time and we brought the girls out for some snacks before dinner with the rest.

Happy to be in cool land.

Pretty one is happy too! :)

While waiting for the rest for dinner at Tai Koo, the girls decide to camwhore.

We started Day 2 with the famous porridge place nearby XGG's place. Mentioned in my previous post, the porridge is nice but not my cup of tea.

While waiting for our turn, we camwhored a little with Grandfather, XGG and Kenneth. Hmm... Missing Lynn.

Taking a short break at the playground before proceeding to the peak for touristy stuff.

@ the Peak

Visit to Madame Tussauds but no Wang Lee Hom leh. :(

Dinner with Aunty Sarah at Causeway Bay. Buffet at some restaurant just beside Ikea. I even bumped into Sharie at Beverly!

The girls are happy with the chocolate fondue.

 Happy!

Day 3 - All ready to check-in to Hollywood Hotel, Disneyland!

While waiting for the parade to start, the girls got bored.

Belle enjoyed the parade a lot the last time round but she was really terrified this time with the loud music. Weird girl.

All girl's favourite - taking photos with the princesses.

Belle's regret - didn't manage a picture with Belle.

We manged to comb almost the entire DisneyLand. So pleased! :)

One of the many rides we took with the girls. I think they had a lot of fun!

The cheeky combi. :P

Either very love or very quarrelsome.

The pretties in the family.

Awesome fun!

The only character we took photo with (as a family). Do not know why. I do not know as well. None of us like them that much but I guess it is due to convenience?

Then we queued for at least 40 minutes for the flying dumbo ride.

As one carriage can only seat 2 people, I shared the carriage with her and I sat on the outside so that it will be safer for her. She was so sweet that she was holding onto my thigh for half of the time and telling me 'Sit inside, Mummy. Don;t fall out.' *melt*

Then we let the girls have a taste of driving. It's driving along guided track so even if you do let go of the steering wheel, it is still ok. The girls are too short to step on the accelerator so adults need to provide some assistance.

I was busy snapping pictures of Valerie driving and she went 'Mummy, I am driving. I cannot take pictures now.' Haha. Irritating mummy.

I wanted to give the fireworks a miss as I saw them before and the girls saw the countdown fireworks before as well. Thinking that they would not know to appreciate it, fireworks was not on my list. Yet, I am glad we made it for fireworks. They LOVE it. I guess it is due to the proximity of the fireworks and the music and atmosphere. Totally enchanting.

Checked out of Disney Hollywood on DAY 4 and decided to visit Lantau Island. I guess we were pretty lazy and only see that tiny bit of Lantau island. Cannot be only like that right?

Walked up the long flight of steps to the Buddha and scenery.

We called it a day at Lantau after some vegetarian lunch. Pretty cheap and nice food.

Though the tickets aren't cheap, we decide to ride the 360 degree clear cable car back.

Amazing structure and view.

The brave girls enjoyed the ride. :)

Day 5 - We probably spend the day on shopping. That explains for the lack of pictures.

Preparing for our trip to Zhuhai on DAY 6.

While waiting for the rest, we camwhored a lot!

Lunch @ IFC Cuisine.

Heavenly egg tart with bird nest.

We ferried over to Zhuhai after lunch, not forgetting the 'Home Alone' incident. Haha. We split into 2 groups to grab a taxi to the ferry terminal. The first group that left has no idea where the cab is so we walked a big round only to realise that the taxi stand is right below. Somehow, we became terribly late for the ferry and rushed through the ticketing queue and immigration. Just when we are boarding, the ticket officers stopped and informed us that we bought the day before tickets instead. So XGG followed him to buy the tickets again before we are allowed to board.

The cheeky one camwhored with her new top on Day 7 before touristy stuff in ZH - lunch, Sun Yat Sen and circus. Circus sucks.

It was too crowded. So crowded that we refused to walk another inch. We can only be glad we went there before.

Day 8 - Home Sweet Home.

Didn't buy anything else for myself other than these shoes. Wore them all in HK but not yet in SG. It's been 2 months though. Keke.
