My 1st work trip! To KL!

Totally new experience!.

My lovely roommate.

I first met her during my training on ADM. My first impression of her 'I like her! She has a super sweet voice and seems friendly' but we didn't manage to interact much after that. I always feel there is this enormous distance between us. She doesn't quite respond whenever I try to start some small talk.

I am glad we shared the same room for 6 nights cause it definitely brought us closer with the late nights chatting.

I was in KL for 7D6N. Every day, every night is packed with actitivies..

Day 1

We reached hotel at 9ish pm and had dinner at the hotel. Dinner was really soso. My char kway tiao is sooooooooooooo unsatisfactory.

Day 2

We had our 'Custom' training. Training was terrific! I feel I am equipped with the right presentation skills during that session and I definitely have a new perspective of my portfolio.

After the training, I met up with cousin for steamboat porridge. Dinner was great! Yummy pumpkin porridge!

Day 3

The 1st session for the conference officially starts! The usual opening speech by the big shots. I must say... I like the videos. They wow-ed me. keke..

I love the 'selling skills' session. Oh my... Why am I even selling things? I hated doing sales and yet, I am in 'partial' sales now. Time flies. Mentality changed. On a side note... DK, you will make a terrific sales person in my company. haha..

This is one of the most packed day with the conference ending late and we only had enough time to rush back to our room to drop our bag before heading down for the HUGE group shot and group dinner. I must have been one of the few lucky ones enjoying my western fine dining with super duper soft beef cheek and great company. Of course, the price to pay for it = reaching hotel at nearly 11pm..

Day 4

The sessions on product training started. I kept pretty quiet during the training cause I didn't want to appear dumb in front of the real sales people. Afterall, I am only an acquisitions editor, definitely not as up to standard as them. Training was too fast (for me) and I didn't absorb much..

The day ended with a department dinner at Seri Melayu (I think). Buffet Dinner! Good food! Nice company!

Day 5

Conference session is still as per usual. Our day usually starts at 6.30am with breakfast at 7.45am and conference starting at 8.30am sharp.

Gala Dinner!!! Had only enough time to change to a new outfit before heading for our gala dinner. A night of fun and drinks. Arrgh. Overdose of white or rather alcohol.

First saw her during our late dinner on day 1. No impression but we were grouped together for the opening and group dinner. Lovely girl with a lovely character. Yes, she may be straghtforward but like I said and prefer, if you have an issue, tell me in my face.

I really love her so much that I want to chat with her everyday!!!

Yiting and I thougt he looks a little like the male lead in 'Shutter' and Bernie claims he is on friendly terms with the male lead. Anyway, can you tell he is in his mid 30s and a father of 2?

Sales boss. Was a teacher and aspires to retire as a teacher. Same ambition as me. Yes, I still want to be a teacher and a chio one. Wahaha.

Teck Chuan who can be really irritating at times with his questions and yet, refuses to to answer any of your questions. Shopping with him is a CHORE!

Henry who loves good food and drinks!!!

Xavier. He reminds me of my younger brother cause they are of the same age. keke. It may not make sense to you but I am lazy to explain here lah.

Catherine. I personally find her a little blur and yet, cute at times.

I think I got to know Grace better after this trip. Hmm... Probably everyone else got to know one another a little better after the trip. Grace, if you forget to jio me for lunch for the 3rd time, I will be angry liao.

I only ate the first 3 dish at Gala Dinner before it was just drinks all the way. It is a torture to drink till 2am and to wake up at 6.30am for a 8.15am-5.50pm conference. I woke up with my body still red and bloodshot eyes. Arrgh. Shan't drink so much with them anymore cause I am too loud for them. Should just stick with Bec, Yvon and Jo. I never realise I was that loud cause these girls were always louder. wahahaha.

Day 6

Ended the last day of conference with a simple dinner and tedious shopping trip with Teck Chuan, Henry, Joey and Grace. Like I mentioned earlier, the shopping is tired cause of Teck Chuan.

Day 7
Home Sweet Home with no in-flight entertainment. Anyway, we were too tired to watch anything. I was so tired that I was woken up by the air stewardess asking me if I want any drink. I dozed off immediately afer telling her I want Apple juice. I was that tired thaty I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer to 'collect' my drink. wahaha.
.

In short, the trip is a new experience. And definitely tiring. A breather for me away from everything here.
