It is like 3.30am and I am still awake!!! Well... I am tired but I can't seem to fall asleep. In fact, I have been having slight problems falling asleep easily since last Thursday (I think).
.
Well... I believe the direct cause is not due to my pregnancy or huge bulging tummy but rather I am so not used to the 'new old' mattress I am sleeping on now. Due to some problems (which I am lazy to explain), we threw away our usual mattress much earlier than planned. To temporarily resolve the sleeping problem, I am currently sleeping on this old mattress. Yet, this old mattress is not fitting my body contours as nicely as I would like it to be. First, it is kinda old. I am not sure if it is as old as our original mattress but the quality is definitely sucky. I can feel the springs pressing into my bones. As a result, I find it super duper uncomfortable to be lying on my side. Yes! It is so uncomfortable that it has been keeping me and my baby awake. My baby has been moving non-stop the minute I lied down. Surprisingly, I actually feel better when I lied on my back. Yet, due to my tummy, I will feel a little breathless at intervals if I lie on my back. Ge tricky right?
.
I am so glad that tonight is going to be the last night of 'torture'. Though we ordered our bed more than a year ago, it is still nicely kept at the warehouse. We have no intention to use the new bed at this old house. Therefore, the grand 'opening' for the new bed will be a couple of months later at our new place. To temporarily resolve this uncomfortable sleeping issue, we bought 2 sets of new mattresses over the weekend. It shall be delivered in the late afternoon and I am so looking forward to having a good sleep after so many torturous nights.
.
On a happier note... I had 2 fulfilling days on Sunday and Monday. :)
.
We were supposed to attend 2nd church service on Sunday but due to slight jam around Suntec area, we were kinda terribly late for the service. In the end, we detoured to Tampines Ikea for lunch and a super quick walk or rather a nua-ing session at their sofa area before making our way back to Suntec for the 3rd service. Sundays usually end with only the church service. Surprisingly, Darl brought all of us back to Tampines Ikea. This time round, we made our way to their bed section and that is where we bought the 2 new mattresses. We ended the day with the must-eat hotdogs. Keke.
.
Monday... We started the day with my weekly medical appointment. The appointment ended a little too early before our next appointment so we had lunch with Dennis over at Great World. I am kinda surprised that Dennis accepted our invitation that spontaneously. Keke. We all know Dennis' pattern one lah. Anyway, we had a good lunch. After lunch, we went down over to HDB to sign the option agreement. Well... There are tons of documents to be signed loh!!! We collected our keys!!! I always stupidly assume there is only ONE key to collect and I was seriously dumbfounded when the officer handed over a bunch of 20 keys. Yes!!! There are just that many keys for the entire house! We went home for a short rest before going out to run some errands and heading over to Aunty Esther's place for a quick chat.
.
After nua-ing for the whole of last week, I am kinda glad that I had 2 fulfilling days. I am not sure if Darl is going to bring me along for the 1st meet-up with the contractor later. It would be nice if he brings me along. Well... Afterall, I am going to be confined soon (for a month) and I am not the kind who can really stay at home for long periods. I do not have to do exciting stuff but I appreciate a little breather now and then. :)
