I am too lazy to update whatever happened in HK. To cut the long story short, our typical day started with a sumptuous lunch, followed by good shopping deals, another round of sinful and yet, yummy dinner and lastly, home sweet home at 9 plus 10.
.
Over the remaining 3 days, we went over to Garden Street (the things are relatively cheap, approx SGD10! Better quality than BKK), IFC (where all the branded stuff are with Zara and MNG having crazy sale) and H&M (pretty much similar concept to TopShop). Despite me being cranky and tired (I fell asleep at Starbucks for an hour!), we had real good food!!! Super delicious fishball kway tiao (I LOVE IT!), a 4 storey restaurant selling just roasted goose and the pretty expensive (SGD6) shrimp wantan noodle. I can still remember the taste of the shrimp wanton noodle. Yum Yum!
.
Putting the super hard bed and cranky water heater aside, I pretty much enjoyed the stay over at HK. I am just amazed by HK!!! They are so cleanliness conscious (especially in lieu of H1N1) that they actually sterilise the life buttons, glass door handles etc etc every 2 hours. Their citizens are also so environment friendly that almost everyone of them go out with a recycable shopping bag. You hardly see anyone using the plastic bags from the supermarket. I think it is so the norm to bring your own bag that when Darl and I popped by 7-11 to buy a few stuff, the staff just conveniently scanned all the items and passed everything back to us (just like that). Being ignorant, we carried every single item with our bare hands and made our way back home. Haha. Before I forget, I salute their service and security crew. They have the most friendly and helpful retail staff. You can spend a long time in the shop trying to consider which piece to buy and the staff will never get impatient. In fact, they will try to understand your needs and try to analyse your situation for you. They will even find the appropriate pieces and even show you the catalogue so that you can have a better feel of how it looks like when worn. I am simply overwhelmed by their security crew (especially those at xiao gugu's place). Their security crew are mostly their locals and surprisingly, they are mostly young and fit. They are like the friendliest and nicest security guards ever around. They will greet every resident like a friend and even bother to open the door for all residents though they can choose to sit in their office and stare hard at their CCTV. Even when we were going home on our own, they even managed to recognise that we are xiao gugu's guests and greeted us warmly. I simply love them and Darl shares the same sentiments too.
.
I love my stay in HK and I personally feel... Though Singapore may be a cleaner and safer country (you never have to worry about going home in the middle of the night), we do still have a lot to learn from other countries.
