Darl surprised me with Valentine's Lovelines in 2008. It was so small that we mobilised The Club to search high and low for the message. We found it (!!!) and for Jess' sake (who was in Australia), Lu scanned and emailed over.

I thought the 2008 Valentine's Lovelines was the first and last time and yet, Darl did it again. To be honest, I really appreciate the gesture and thought. Afterall, we have been married and BB is already 3 months old.

When I received the CATS package, I was haunting Darl on the message.
Me: Dear, what you wrote?
Darl: It's only a 3-liner. I dunno. I asked the girl to write for me.
Me: Really meh? You really asked the girl to write for you ah?
Darl: Yah.
Me: Dear... Next year, you don't advertise 3-liner anymore k. You saved the money for 10 years and advertise a full-page "I LOVE YOU'. Black and white can already.
Darl: Also not enough money.

Anyway, I thought he was trying to brush me off so I waited patiently for 14 Feb 09. When I finally found in his message, I told him...

Me: Dear... Got this person wrote the below message leh. Dear Angela, I just want to wish you a warm and Happy Valentine's Day in 2009. Love, Calvyn.
Darl (with a slightly unbelivable expression): Really meh?
Me: Yah~ Really the girl write for you one ah?
Darl: Yah loh.
Me: Why leh?
Darl: I was busy mah and haven't think of the message yet. Then she kept pestering me say deadline liao so I told her to write for me loh.
Me (faint): I am sure she can write somehting better right?!

Well.... Though the message was very duh... I appreciated Darl's intention. Thanks Darling for putting in the effort. I never expect you to do this. Though I seriously think the girl can write something better but I guess it must have been tough for her cos she didn't know us nor our relationship. BUT still~~~~
