Malacca
.
This is our yearly trip back to Malacca to celebrate Ah Ma's birthday.
.
Our 'men pai'.
.
We have a huge car porch. So huge that it can accomodate all our cars (a minimum of 10 cars and that is only 30% of the HUGE family) and also hold all the different functions such as weddings lah, birthdays lah, BBQ lah etc etc. .
Yes... We live in the kampong... This is the road leading to our house. .
A lot of new little additions to the already very big family. . .
This year, we upgrade! Dinner is no longer at our car porch or school hall or community centre but a real decent restaurant! We had a 10 course dinner with Sharks' Fins, scallops, prawns, crabs etc etc. .
Ah Ma in the middle with her sons and daughters. .
Son-in-laws with another 4 missing. .
Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. About another 40% are missing.
.
This is my closest cousin, Ah Zhen. As for the rest of my cousins, I only see them once a year and most of the times, I do not even know who they are. Some of the slightly closer one, I will say 'hi' and 'bye' lah. Only close to Ah zhen and her 2 brothers and another cousin (Ah Biao) who I had not seen for 12 years. He came over for studies when he was young and stayed over at my place for quite some time. Saw him again at the dinner (after so long) and he was super funny loh. Gave me a slap on my back and asked "jie hun le mei you?" Wah lau~ I wanted to tell him to watch his strength leh. Haha. .
Then, we dropped by this chinatown look-alike street for some "shopping" Absolutely NOTHING to buy. .
Tamil Methodist Church. .
Puzzled by this signage. It was just outside a normal provision shop. Really sell drinking water ah? .
Recruitment signage. And they are only paying RM4.50 per hour!!! .
