BKK 2007!!!
.
Day 1
.

Yeah... The day finally arrives for the long-awaited BKK 4D3N trip!!! No doubt I am having slight financial difficulties, I must have my shopping spree in BKK!!! I want to buy at least half of BKK back!!! Hahaha.
.
We were still deciding to bring backpack or suitcase to BKK just a week before departure and I am glad that we made the right choice to bring suitcases instead.
.
With a well-planned itinerary (all credits go to Yvonne), we are ready to set off on our (initially, it is only mine and Yvonne's) shopping conquest.
.
The very moment we reached our hotel, we unpacked and started preparing for RCA Route 66. I have been there once and I thought it was really fun! So I strongly recommended it to the girls!
.
It was hiccups all the way from the very minute we left our hotel. We did ask for directions from the hotel staff and she told us to turn right. But dunno why... we decided to turn left instead to look for food. It was a bad choice. Probably because we were in clubbing wear with make-up, we attracted everyone's attention. It was a super uncomfortable 15 minutes walk and there was NO food in sight. Frustrated and having enough of the attention, I decided to bring the girls to this little eating place near Asia Hotel. I had my meals there every time I go to BKK and their food is really nice loh. It is my best meal in BKK for this trip.
.
Famished.
.
How long is the food going to take?
.
Suppressing her hunger.
.
Finally!!! The food came!!!
.
And into our stomachs in a split second!
.
Then we made our move for RCA Route 66. Super excited on the cab loh! But to our great disappointment... The whole stretch of RCA is CLOSED!!! Feeling lost for a moment, we decided to make a trip to Baiyoke Sky instead.
.
Wise choice. 200 Baht for entry and a free drink.
.
@ the revolving deck (84th floor)
.
Day 2
.
We kick-started Day 2 with a visit to Erawan Shrine.
.
Then off we headed for Chatuchak Market.
.
We spotted this guy in the train. Like not bad.
.
Still seemed not bad.
.
Erm... I think his eyebrows too thick. Looks like la bi xiao xin. I don't like.
.
@ Chatuchak. Stupid Bec who zoomed in on us.
.
Think we reached Chatuchak around 11am but it was so hot that we took a break around 1+pm. It was a wise choice because the Singaporean couple next to us enlightened us about this paradise shopping 'Platinum'. Wholesale prices for 3 pieces and above and the stuff are similar to Chatuchuk's. Without further delay, we made a move to Platinum. On our way out of Chatuchak, there were at least half a dozen stalls we wanted to step in for a look. But thinking that things are going to be cheaper @ Platinum, we stopped ourselves even though we really wanted to buy the bikinis in the bikini stall.
.
Us... Feeling super stick after Chatuchak.
.
Platinum is definitely a paradise for shopping. We went back to our hotel with LOADS of stuff. HAPPY!
.
After a day of non-stop walking, shopping and sweat, we enjoyed our night with a full body massage and a night of chilling at Suan Lum Night Market.
.
My first time taking a tuk-tuk. Kinda of fun and definitely enjoy the feeling of being on a tuk-tuk. It is not as scary as what others made it out to be.
.
The girls went off to order food @ Suan Lum. They definitely took a long time to order the food. They came back not only with food but also, a new friend.
.
Yvonne and I made plans to have Singha beer @ Suan Lum but the beautiful transformer informed us that no beer is being sold for 3 days due to some religion thingy (I have yet to figure that out). That is probably the reason why RCA was not open on our 1st day. Silly us thought it was due to election. Haha. Anyway... Surprisingly... The locals didn't know RCA was closed too.
.
Day 3
.
Still looking fresh, our first stop is MBK. We did a quick shopping at MBK and Central World before we hit Platinum AGAIN!!!
.
Luckily, we found the bikini stall. If not Bec is going to niam 'Sure have one mah. Like sure have Swiss Roll one mah'. Bleh~
.
Bec and her XL bikini. For pose only. She is only L. Keke.
.
@ Swensen's. This (on the way) transformer is super cute and girlish. After the photo shoot with Yvonne, he/ she was super elated loh.
.
Elephant feeding. My 1st time too! Super greedy eleplant. Xiao de da xiang.
.
Our conquests so far after 3 days.
.
Since it was our last night in BKK, we decided to head for RCA again. We had a little commotion in the cab. Told the cab driver we wanted to go RCA but he drove us to a small pub at the end of some ulu alley. We insisted to go RCA and he had no choice but to u-turn. But he was grumbling all the way that RCA would be closed. Anyway, I am glad that we insisted to go RCA to witness that it is closed. Anyway, RCA is kinda closed except for Route 66 loh!!!
.
We reached at 1am and since the club closes at 2.30am, party begins immediately.
.
The locals are friendly especially the rich uncle beside us. I ordered Vodka Red Bull but by time, I left Route 66, my glass is still full to the brim. Uncle keeps pouring for us though we made it very clear that we are not going to drink his drink. Instead, he ordered 7-Up for us. And I ended up with Vodka Red Bull 7-Up. Weird~
.
This chap appeared out of nowhere. Really nowhere. After a few words of exchange, he left and returned with his brother.
.
His brother. The 2 brothers almost drove me crazy. Other than not being able to fully understand their English, the music was way too LOUD and despite shouting into the ears, I can't hear them properly and they didn't catch what I was saying too.
.
Anyway, they are funny because they asked weird questions.
.
(Brother speaks to me in thai.)
Me: Sorry. Can you speak english?
(The conversation begins in English then...)
Brother: Can you speak Thai?
.
If I can... Why did I ask him to speak English?
.
Brother: Where stay in Singapore?
Me: Do you know Singapore well?
Brother: No. So where you stay?
Me: ... North.
Brother: I don't know where.
.
Me: I am here on holidays. I am gong back tomorrow.
Brother: You have a Thai number?
.
I am a tourist!!! Why would I have a Thai number?
.
Us after clubbing. I am glad that the girls like the place and especially the toilet. No joke right. The toilet super nice, super big and super clean loh. Tell me... Where can you find such nice toilet. Even our hotels' toilets also lose loh.
.
Day 4
.
After 4 days... We definitely look horrible here. But we treasured every single minute of the sort day 4 we had. We headed for Platinum again!!! After 2 hours, we returned with bags of stuff again.
.
Platinum is definitely a paradise. You can find everything there and they are CHEAP. Most importantly, the place is air-con and clean. Shop at your own comfort. We spent 3 days there and bought almost everything there. Skip Level 3 and concentrate on Level 4. 80% of our stuff and time were from Level 4.
.
Super satisfied us on our way back. Let's make this a yearly trip for our wardrobe!
