Caught Beowulf with Darl and Jason couple at Causeway Point since we had no programmes after Jason's car was seriously damaged in a car accident. Shall elaborate about the car accident later. Anyway, back to the movie... I had absolutely no intention to catch this movie as I simply had no interest in it. Though I remembered seeing the trailer but I never knew it is a CGI. Anyway, I think the graphics were great except that the facial expressions and movements may be stiff at times. Overall, the graphics are still pretty impressive as they are very life-like, like the facial hairs and how the hair will swing and fall into place with a turn of the head. No doubt the show focuses on Beowulf (the "main" lead) but I personally feel the focus of the storyline is on the curse of Grendel's mother who manages to entice the danish kings to succumb to the temptations of lust, greed, fame, riches etc etc. It is a case of convenience to name the movie after Beowulf just because he is the main lead.

As for the car accident, Jason is just one unlucky chap today. It was supposedly a birthday celebration for his girlfriend's mother but the dinner at Causeway Point caused him great damage to his car. Some fellow probably had too much dosage of alcohol at 7pm or he was speeding in the carpark when he lost control and rammed straight into 4 parked cars!!! Jason's car suffered the most damage. His whole front bumper was gone!!! When the tow car tried to dislodge his car from the other car, the headlights started falling into pieces. Super Poor Thing loh!!! Anyway, our car is safe as we didn't make plans to meet him at all. I guess he probably needed moral support as he called us for help though there was absolutely nothing we could do except lending him the camera. Anyway, it is a blessing in disguise because the accident happened just 10 minutes before he reached his car. Luckily time (approx 20 minutes) was delayed by him finding the toilet and cashcard top-up machine. Imagine what might happen instead if he had been there earlier? Phew~
