Happy Teachers' Day!

It is my first time celebrating Teachers' Day as a teacher. Though this is only my temp job and I have only been here for 3 weeks, I am loving it!!! It has been an enjoyment going to work and seeing the children's smiles are really worth the hard work, long distance and low pay. What else can I ask for other than the little pressies below from the cute little darlings?

I guess I had left school for a long time. When I received my first packet of chocolates from them, I wonder if it is really Teachers' Day or maybe Children's Day(?). I mean the children are giving the teachers the yummy goodies, from chocolates to sweets to brownies to fruits tarts etc etc. It was a super filling Teachers' Day from all the goodies which the children will force you to swallow it on the spot. I always thought teachers will receive red pens on Teachers' Day but where is my red pen??? N.O.NE.

My 2nd & 3rd Darlings!

From the primary 1 children, I have my top 3 favourite boys. I had introduced my little princy - Leonard in my previous post. Now proudly present to you - my 2nd and 3rd darlings!!!

Luismika Lim (preferred to be known as Mika).
A highly intelligent child whose IQ easily surpassed any of his peers by leaps. He speaks like an adult and behaves like one. He sits like a gentleman and he reads a vast range of books. Nah... No kiddish readings. The chim-est stuff I ever spot him reading is stuff on human reproduction system and yes... he does understand what he is reading.

Some of our daily conversation...

Mika: The cutest girl in my class is Heidi.
Me: Really? Then you like her?
Mika: No.
Me: Why? She is the cutest girl in your class.
Mika: I think she is cute only mah. But I don't like her.
Me: The who is the cutest guy in your class?
Mika: Leonard. He's very cute.
Me (thinking to myself... he shi huo k): What about you?
Mika: I am not cute. I am very ugly.

Mika: My favourite sport are golf, tennis, basketball, swimming etc etc.
Thinking to myself... golf leh...

When Mika's mum arrived to fetch him home...
Mika: Where are you going?
Me: Home loh.
Mika: Come, I give you a lift.
Me: No need lah. I stay very far.
Mika: Hmm... Never mind. I give you a lift.
Me: Where you stay?
Mika: Dover.
Me: It's okay. I stay very far.
Mika: Hmm... Okay loh.

I am not exaggerating about his intelligence. He is really smart. Not considering his child side's tantrum, he is really too mature for his age. He is one child who needs attention to mould his future towards the right path. Well... This picture didn't do much justice to him. No way is he ugly!

Collin Mok (probably the most soft-spoken and gentle young boy I have ever seen).
He is a really sweet darling who will always give you his little shy smile. He is really so well-behaved and quiet and gentle that I have never even showed him a stern look. He always answers you in his tiny little gentle voice which will melt your heart at that very instant. If you shower him a little love, he will cuddle into your hug immediately which is quite unusual for boys.

Well... He does have a fiery temper but only towards his 1 year older brother, Ryan. I just witnessed that yesterday. We were playing balloon when Ryan wanted a share of the fun too. I guess Collin doesn't really like his elder brother as he addressed in his stern tone (which I have never heard before) "Ryan!".

I was attempting to take a picture of Trent (hiding behind Ryan) when Ryan got more excited than anyone and wanted to be snapped too.

I re-focused on Skylar when Ryan dashed over again. Skylar was in upright sitting posture when Ryan dashed over and this resulted in them in a semi-lying position.

Obviously, Skylar is not interested and yet, Ryan is still in cam whoring indulgence.

I personally feel this is a little gay. Basically, Ryan was leaning on Skylar and semi-hugging him for this picture.

I have gotten used to my hairstyle after a week. I realised I haven't been really meeting anyone in that week until Dennis and YY spent a few good moments observing me again. Arrgh... I have been in hiding for the week due to my new hairstyle which takes myself a week to be used to it.
