My New Found Love
.
As per requests, I hereby taken and uploaded 3 photos. Yes, only 3. I do not wish to traumatise all the kids in 1 single day. keke.

Proudly presents my little princy, Leonard. OH MY! Isn't he too handsome for a 7 years old? WOW! He is REALLY REALLY REALLY too handsome and cute loh. I simply can't take my eyes off him. keke. He is really cute and adorable. After his 'bad' encounter with the bully, I have become the offical hero in his heart! Wahaha. It is really amazing how kids can actually remember that you had once stood up for them and it is actually remembered and recalled even after days.
.
I have built up enough rapport with him to the extent that he came across half of the social hall during playtime to ask me to go over to the front of the social hall to 'guard' his hopscotch. Luckily, he is my favourite and I actually spent a good 15 minutes 'guarding' it till patience ran out and I went to ask him how long does he intend to keep me waiting. Yes yes yes. I am biased! No doubts about that. Cannot have favourite is it? keke. He is 2nd after Wong Lee Hom. ;p
.
Bec, you think he looks like Joe? I personally feel the resemblance is more striking in his side profile.
.
HE IS SO CUTE~
.
Christopher - The Bully. I was showing Felix the pictures and he actually commented that Christopher looks like a bully from the picture because bullies are always sweaty. What theory is that?
.
Anyway, he is only 8 years old but he is so mature that his vocabulary of vulgarities is nearly as good as any adults (compared to those who have a comprehensive vocabulary on vulgarities). He is super unreasonable as he wants things his ways. He determines who stays in the room, who can take part in a game, who can play what game and the rules - Christopher's rules to only his advantage. When he is in his bully mode, he disregards everyone including the teachers. He would yell at the teachers at the top of his voice and f*** them. I am glad to have build up enough rapport with him that he does not raise his voice at me. I am not sure why but he is pestering me every playtime to play Monoploy with him. Well... It is not too fun when his rules are bizzard and basically, he does not quite require me to 'play' the game because some other kids will volunteer to throw the dice for me, move the game piece, collect money, pay money etc etc. All is required is just my presence in that chair.
.
Oh... The below conversation took place yesterday's evening when I saw him playing Hopscotch with Leonard.
Me: You playing with Leonard ah?
Chris: Yah. We are best friends already.
Me: ... (speechless)
Those who had heard my stories will know about the bad blood between Chris and Leonard.
.
I think he looks like the penguin in the Happy Feet and I think he thinks so too. He was wearing the Happy Feet T-Shirt when I first saw him and I recognised the striking resemblance almost immediately.
.
Me: Hello! What's your name?
Him: I don't want to tell you. You will make fun of me. :(
Me: No. I promise I will not make fun of you k.
Him: Arnold.
Me (puzzled): How they make fun of you?
Arnold: They call me Arnold Schwarzenegger loh.
Child A (walking past): Ang Gu Guay! Wahahaha!
Me (didn'y quite catch it): Huh? What did he call you?
Arnold: He called me Ang Gu Guay loh.
Me: Huh? Why did he call you Ang Gu Guay?
Arnold: My surname is Guay. So Arnold Guay Arnold Guay becomes Ang Gu Guay loh.

I have only been with the student care centre for 3 weeks. It is a totally different experience. No doubt that I have to make sacrifices by taking a tremendous pay cut but as it is only a part-time job, I do not exactly have to assume any form class or responsibility. My basic day-to-day duties is to ensure the classes that I am helping out finish all their homework and enrichment and I just have to answer all queries. With my tuition experience, it is not too tough at all. The toughest part is handling the kids, handling the younger kids' whines and the older kids' attitude problems.
.
Though it is only a part-time job, it has brought much joy, fulfillment and meaning to my life. For once, I feel that I am doing my social part for the society though there may be protests that I am misleading the kids. Anyway, it is really fun at work, be it with the young cute ones or the older ones. No matter how tired I am, I look forward to work and I dread to knock off at 6.30pm. Yes, that is how much I love my job or rather, that is how much I love them. I feel an enormous sense of satisfaction when I managed to befriend a new kid or become someone's hero. Some of them have become attached to me that they will cuddle and hug me when I walk past them and this applies to young boys as well.
.
keke. With that, the above is just a short introduction of my No. 1 Favourite, Bully and Penguin. More to come!!! My other favourites!
