Museum Visiting - 060807

After his weekend of fun @ Genting and KL, Darl was nice enough to offer his companionship for museum visiting!!! Well... I know it is not exactly his cup of tea but since he offered, why not right? To cut short his torture, I decided on just the National Museum of Singapore.

We spent a good 2 hours in just the History Gallery and Darl decided it was enough. keke. Still 'kay kiang' ask me to shortlist A FEW museums. I had yet to step into the National Museum since many many years ago. WOW! The place had a face lift. You had to finish the whole walk with a device - Companion. Every spot you stopped at comes with a number for you to pin into the device. Once you key in the spot number, you can listen to the narration through the device and headset. Also, nearly every artefacts come with a number too. Should you key in the number into the device, you get a short write-up of 'background' of the artefacts. Cool ah~

The History Gallery displays Singapore from 1819 till around 1965. It refreshes your memories of what we had learnt during our sec sch history classes and also enlightens you on a lot of stuff. A very interesting trip, at least for me lah.

Clubbing - 040807

Since Darl was away gambling with the others, I made plans for clubbing after Andy's birthday party. Andy has gotten into the habit of throwing a birthday party for his birthday. As for this year, it is held over at his new place over in the east where rich people reside too. keke. Very nice place. Much bigger than his old place with a lot of secret compartments. I simply LOVE the toilet!!! Ma Chiam hotel resort toilet. WOW!!! The only thing I keep emphasizing to Darl when I was describing to him Andy's new place is the toilet loh. Those who had seen his toilet will agree with me especially the bath tub area. It is a more elaborate birthday party this year as compared to last year. Last year was a pool side cosy little party where fun was unlimited with throwing people into the pool. This year was a more formal party with a lot more social elements involved. You just had to make small talks with the business associates. Luckily I left the company so I am freed from the obligations. Catering was from Nouvelle but of a much higher level. The whole display and everything was similar to hotel high tea buffet setting. Food and Sashimi was great! Wine are still good but last year's was even better. You can imagine how elaborate the party is by Joanne's below remarks 'as if is his 60th birthday'. keke.

To meet Yvonne on time at 11pm (she was half hour late despite claiming she will NOT be late), we left the party at 10.30pm. Slightly early but there was no fun and I was full le.

I was feeling lazy on the Friday. Had many plans and ideas but laziness and nua-ness overcame everything. In the end, as the only free person around, I had to buy Andy's present. It wasn't a tough choice since we already decided on cuff links and the price is super reasonable. All I need to do was to ask the sales assistant to choose. Yeah. The design not I choose one. I leave it to the experts.

Bec suggested KTV. Well... I do not sing but might as well join them loh. Nothing much on a Friday night anyway.

I must admit that I was feeling bored at some points in times as I do not sing. I do not mind going since the majority are going so I just went with the flow. I do not mind listening to them and watched the MTVs but somehow, boredom did kicked in. It wasn't too bad as they did tried very hard to keep me occupied. Thanks~ But still no horror movie please. keke.
