The Good Old People & Days

Was accompanying Bec for a smoke when we happened to bump into Claire who was back in office to process the commission claims. During our exchange of conversation, she jio-ed us for lunch with Amilia. I was relunctant to go. Before Amilia left the company, I had a bad clash with her over some emails misunderstanding. With the clash, I was relunctant to meet her as I believe what was done back then cannot be undone. Also, I might be unable to face her in a friendly manner after the bad blood. In the end, I went. I guess time has dulled everything. I no longer hold it against her or see her in a biased perspective.
Amilia, Joanne and Me
When I first joined the company 3 years ago @ IP, they were the friendly seniors who have guided me and their precious good advice have aided and accelerated my career path.
Amilia was super friendly and her friendly and cheerful disposition had helped me merged into the company's culture within a month. Whenever I was being bullied by Boss, she was always the first one to show care and concern. I have truly respected her and always sought her advice on all matters.
Joanne was the stricter one in comparison to Amilia. It was after several da-bao lunch sessions before we got closer. Being the forever politically correct finance person, I always sought her advice when controversy arose.
They have both taught me a lot and I am really grateful to have come across such seniors during my very first job. They have assisted me in my adaptation into the new company and their previous assistance had made my career growth faster than it should be. Without them, it was impossible to achieve what I have today.

Dawn, Claire and Rebecca
With exception of Dawn, this is the relatively newer group of people who joined us over @ Robinson Centre.
Dawn joined us @ IP a month later. As a result of her ex-boss, we ostracized her. Haha. Throughout the 3 years, we were never close at all. We had never really clashed but I guess we both had different perspectives on nearly all things. I think this is probably the first or second tme we had lunch together (outside). Despite the distance between us after the 3 years, I do feel a little sadness that she is leaving the company after 3 years of unrecognised hard work. This is really a classic case of unrecognised hard work.
I was pretty turned off by Claire on her first day of work. First, she was late. Second, she "gin" me. It was only much later then I realised it was just her. But well... her oriental/ japanese looks does help her get away with things at times. Though I do not quite comprehend her level of comptency, she makes a good listener if she wants to.
Rebecca..........................................
With the inclusion of Lucretia (having fun in China ah) and Jessica (eating tomatoes everyday in Aussie), we were one big happy family. The days of chilling out at our little corner, lunching in together, bitching about others loudly during intervals of work are all history. Amilia, Claire and Jessica had left. Dawn and I are already counting our days. Left Joanne, Lucretia and Bec only. With the newbies, out-of-control sales and boss, the company was no longer what it was 3 years ago. The company has grown tremendously in size but the relationship just gets thinner as days go by.
